Hi, I’m Emily VanderBogart

I’m the artist and creator behind Ellaly. I’m a multidisciplinary maker with a passion for transforming raw materials into meaningful works of art.

My creative journey has been shaped by a unique combination of technical skill, craftsmanship, and curiosity. With a background in professional welding, jewelry making, and hands-on manufacturing, I developed a deep appreciation for precision, durability, and the beauty of working with my hands. My experience creating with metals, gemstones, and fine materials has allowed me to blend industrial techniques with artistic expression.

For me, creating is more than producing an object; it is about telling a story. I am inspired by nature, vintage artistry, celestial elements, and the small details that make the world feel magical. Whether I am designing jewelry, sculpting metal, or developing a new project, I approach every product with intention, patience, and a commitment to quality.

When I’m not creating, I enjoy exploring new materials, restoring unique pieces, collecting inspiration from the world around me, and continuing to grow my skills as an artist. I often find myself mining for gemstones, looking for pretty rocks, and collecting seashells. Every creation is a reflection of my curiosity, dedication, and love for craftsmanship.

I am always excited to connect with fellow creatives, collectors, and anyone who appreciates the beauty of handmade work. I welcome custom projects, collaborations, and opportunities to bring unique ideas to life.

My Approach

Ellaly is an independent creative studio built on the foundations of fine craftsmanship, technical precision, and storytelling design. Specializing in handmade artwork, custom sculptures, and fine jewelry.

At it’s heart, Ellaly is about creating something meaningful with what is available. I believe creativity isn’t about having unlimited resources or being handed everything you need. Sometimes the most interesting pieces come from what is already around you—a forgotten material, an old component, a handful of scraps, or something that might otherwise be thrown away.

Whenever possible, I source materials thoughtfully, reuse what I can, and look for ways to give existing materials a new purpose. A leftover piece doesn’t have to be waste. With a little imagination, it can become something completely different.

I believe the modern marketplace deserves more intentionality with better materials, meaningful design, and products created with respect for the time and skill behind them. That mindset comes from a genuine appreciation for hard work.

I haven’t had everything handed to me, and I’ve learned to value the time, effort, patience, and persistence it takes to build something yourself. I believe those things give an object meaning. There is something special about knowing that an idea became real because someone cared enough to put in the work. Ellaly stands as an advocate for independent artists and makers by celebrating craftsmanship, creativity, and sustainable artistry.

From the first concept to the final detail, every Ellaly piece is created with purpose. Materials are selected carefully, techniques are refined through experience, and each collection is developed with the goal of creating something lasting. My goal is to create something that can be cherished, displayed, and long-lasting.
